Travel Altar Cards

Hello everyone. I just wanted to remind everyone that we have designed some very good Travel Altar Cards in both Latin and English. Pictured on the left is our "Vintage Diamond" set of Latin Low Mass Altar Cards. This set is not only very attractive, but, it is very practical too. The type is easy to read and all of the prayers are there and in the right places. A set of these are currently in use in Iraq by a military chaplain. They only measure 10 inches high and each set is laminated for durability.

For Latin Requiem Travel Masses, we have designed "Silver Black Requiem."

For English Travel Masses, we have designed a set for Low Mass and a set for Requiem Mass according to the 1958 Knott English Missal texts.

All of these designs are very practical and easy to read. If you would like more information about these travel altar cards, simply click on the links above. Or, visit us online at our business website, Myriad Creative Concepts, where we have many, many designs for you to choose from.

English Sacristy Prayers Recently Released

Hello everyone. I would just like to let you know that we have recently designed and released for sale three new cards for Masses said in the Old Roman Catholic Church. These three cards are: "Sacristy Prayers," "Prayers For Special Intentions," and a very special card that we have titled, "Priest Of God."

Without mentioning him by name, I would like to express my deep gratitude to my dear priest friend who provided me with the texts to typeset and release for sale the prayers for each of these cards so that other priests can benefit from having them too.

All three new Mass cards are designed to complement one another. They have similar graphics, type, and measure 8.5 x 11 inches. All three are available as prints or laminated.

If you are interested, merely click the links above to review their respective details. As always, if there is something that you would like to have designed, just let me know. I will try to fix you up with what you need if at all possible.

Take care and thanks for visiting!

Anglo Catholic Altar Cards NEW!

Hello everyone. We are excited to announce the release of our brand new English Anglo Catholic Altar Cards, "Tapestry1." This is our very first design for Anglo Catholics, prompted by a recent call from a priest requesting them. He asked us to include the Libera nos prayer on them because it is so hard to find altar cards with the Lord's Prayer included. So, presto, here is our first venture in the design of Anglo Catholic altar cards. Thank you, Father "X," for your many suggestions and advice.

"Tapestry1" consists of three altar cards: one 12 x 18 inches and two 12 x 8 inches. It features beautiful tapestry-like graphics around the edges and a crucifix icon image. on the center card. Like our many other cards, you can choose from framed, unframed, or laminated choices. We ship just about anywhere around the world. For a complete description of these new Anglo Catholic altar cards, please visit us online at our regular business website, Myriad Creative Concepts. We specialize in the graphic design of Latin and English Altar Cards and have a wide selection for you to choose from.

Free Christmas Postcards & Bookmark

Hello everyone. With the holidays fast approaching, I wanted to do a little something for you, my visitors and customers. So, I decided to whip up a couple of nice, free Christmas postcards and a bookmark for you to download and print out.

The free postcards measure roughly 4 x 6 inches and would be best printed out on cardstock. The files are multi-paged so even though the other side of the card is not pictured, it is included in both designs.

The one pictured here is one that I spotted in Wikimedia's public domain pictures. The other postcard features a priest with his two servers getting ready to celebrate a Latin Mass. It isn't every day that a person can find Latin Mass Christmas cards, so, feel free to download and print out as many as you like. Let me know how they work out for you.

Lastly, I whipped up a little free bookmark for you to download and print out. It measures 1.5 x 10 inches. It would best be printed on cardstock too.

Visit this page on our business website to view and consider downloading the above free Christmas postcards and bookmark.

These are not much, I must admit, but at least it is a token of appreciation. Please accept them with my thanks and good wishes.

Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Ecclesiastical Latin - ChurchLatin.com

Hello everyone. Today, I'd like to introduce you to ChurchLatin.com, a very important apostolate website that recently came to my attention. Church Latin, led by Derek Bonnel, is an ambitious effort dedicated to the learning, study, and promotion of Ecclesiastical Latin via books and resources.

Maximus Scriptorius Publications is the publishing arm of ChurchLatin.com. To quote Derek, "There exists a wealth of learning resources and reference materials for Classical Latin, but few for Ecclesiastical Latin. That is not to say that one cannot use materials created for the learning of Classical Latin for Ecclesiastical Latin, given that one knows the difference between the two. It is our intent to fill this "void in the market," so to speak."

In addition to its publishing company, ChurchLatin.com also offers free PDF downloads, rare used books, and links to other important resources, like Romanitas Press, and a brand new informative blog called "Deus Familia Labora."

Mr. Bonnel is just getting warmed up folks. Derek has a great thing going here and is passionate about his love of tradition and all things about Ecclesiastical Latin. Visit his site today. Take a look at some of his Maximus Scriptorius publications. Chances are you will be just as impressed as I am.

Server's Mass Response Card

Hello everyone. Recently, a customer phoned me and as we were discussing his order, he recommended that I consider designing a Roman Catholic Latin Mass Server's Mass Response Card. I told him that I probably should do that but there is already a very good one available from Romanitas Press. So, there is no need for me to design one too.

Louis Tofari, the founder of Romanitas, designs some very good materials for the Latin Mass. His Server's Mass Response Card is of the highest quality and is reasonably priced. So, if any of you need Server Mass Response Cards, please visit Romanitas Press and check theirs out.

While browsing their website, be sure to check out the other fine works that Louis offers. You may just find something else that you like too.

St Francis Peace Prayer In Latin

Hello everyone. We have just finished designing our new prayer print, "St Francis Peace Prayer in Latin." So, now, this print is available in both Latin and English on our website, Myriad Creative Concepts.

We contracted a very good Latin translation service to do the translating. The Latin Translator, headed by a gentleman named, Quintus, translated the text in less than 24 hours and gave us a free .mp3 recitation of the prayer in Latin. Visit our website, noted above, if you would like to hear Quintus reciting the Peace Prayer in Latin.

If you have a favorite prayer that you would like to have typeset with graphics, send us an email of your wishes. For a modest design fee, we may be able to fix you right up.

As always, thanks for visiting us here on our blog. Take care and be sure to stop in and listen to St Francis' Peace Prayer on our website when you have some free time.

Two New Knott 1958 English Missal Requiem Altar Cards Released

Hello everyone. I hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday weekend and are refreshed and ready for another work week. Well, we have certainly been busy lately designing new altar cards for you. These two sets are called "Botticelli Trinity" and "El Greco Christ At The Cross."

Botticelli "Trinity" Latin Requiem Altar Cards Just Released

Good morning everyone. Today, Holy Saturday of 2010, it seems fitting to release our brand new design of Roman Catholic Latin Requiem Altar Cards named "Botticelli Trinity." This is our third design in what we call our Artist Series of Latin Requiem Altar Cards featuring some of the most beautiful works of history's most famous painters.

Sandro Botticelli was an influential 15th Century Italian artist whose work inspired many artists who would follow. On this design, we could have added several examples of his beautiful paintings. We decided not to because often, less is more. With only the striking image of his "Trinity" painting, we feel that, graphically, it draws the viewer in to the sobering effects of the image. I can only imagine what it would be like to stand in the museum and view this painting in person.

Like our recently released El Greco altar cards, this set has type fonts reminiscent of 15th Century European fonts. The layout is precise, practical, and thorough. We have included the Aufer, Oramus, Supplices, and Corpus Tuum prayers often not found on altar cards but useful to have.

Each set contains three cards: one 12 x 18 inch center card and two 12 x 8 inch side cards. On our website, feel free to choose from prints, laminated or framed options.

That's it for now. Have a wonderful, blessed Easter everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

El Greco Latin Requiem Mass Altar Cards Released

Good day, everyone. The beautiful Renaissance art of Spain's El Greco is featured on these, our just completed designs of Requiem Latin Mass Altar Cards.

The first set, pictured to the left, is called "El Greco Oversized Picture" for obvious reasons. We wanted to design a set of altar cards that prominently featured this particular El Greco work entitled "Christ At The Cross With Mary, John, And Mary Magdalene." The picture is so detailed and striking that we felt it best to give it the entire right side of the center altar card. The resulting layout is quite unusual and, frankly we are not sure if it will be well received. But, we think this set is just fantastic. It even contains type fonts that mimic actual fonts used in El Greco's 16th Century.

The second set of our new El Greco themed altar cards is called "Christ At The Cross." That is the name of the El Greco painting featured on the center card. This set is a Latin Requiem design too. It also has fonts reminiscent of 16th Century fonts in a traditional three column center card format.

These new altar card designs are the first created in our new "Artist Series" that will include a variety of styles and artwork to reflect different cultures and time periods. If you have favorite paintings to suggest to us, write us any time. We like to hear from our readers and customers.

1968 Roman Seraphic Missal English Altar Cards Just Released

Hello everyone. We are proud to announce the release of our brand new design of 1968 Roman Seraphic Missal English Altar Cards and the companion Mass Responses Card. Like our just released altar cards for the Dominican Rite, these are the result of a request by a priest who put his faith in us to custom design for him. The first batch is hot off the press and turned out very nicely if we can dare say so ourselves.

These have been carefully typeset for accuracy and proofread by our consulting priest. The rubrics are denoted in traditionally red letters and the type is large and very easy to read. We call this design, "Maroon," and it features the beautiful Renaissance artwork, "The Crucifixion," by Andrea Mantegna in the 15 th century.

The accompanying Mass Responses Card is two-sided and laminated for durability. Again, the rubrics are denoted in red. Measurements: 8.5 x 11 inches. For more information about these new altar cards, please visit us on our business website: www.myriadcreativeconcepts.com.

Thanks for visiting!

Dominican Altar Cards Just Released

Hello everyone. Well, we've finally finished up our brand new "Vintage" design of altar cards for the Dominican Rite. Four months ago, a veteran Dominican priest on the West Coast contacted us and asked us to design a set for him. It is our pleasure to now share this newly designed set with the general population of Dominican priests.

The priest had to teach us a few things about Dominican symbols, art, and, of course, the order-specific prayers and layout for a traditional set of Dominican altar cards. Note the black & white crosses and shields. They are uniquely Dominican symbols and reflect the history and traditions of Dominicans. The center altar card image is that of Giovan Francesco da Ramini's "The Meal Of St Dominic."

If you would like to see a larger image of these new Dominican Altar Cards, just click on the image above and you will be redirected to its source on our business website: www.myriadcreativeconcepts.com. If you have any questions, or would like us to custom-design a set for your order, just send us an email or post a comment in reply to this post.

For more information on Dominican Shields, please visit this blog post on "V For Victory!"
